Minister of Justice of the State of Kuwait (2006 - 2007): Minister Al-Matouq as¬sumed the office as Minister of Justice in Kuwait and led efforts to develop the legal system and strengthen the justice system in the country. Advisor at the Amiri Diwan of the State of Kuwait (2010 - 2021): His Excellen¬cy Dr. Abdullah Matouq Al-Matouq distinguished himself by providing im¬portant government consultations and major contributions in directing gov¬ernment policies and making decisions. Chairman of the International Islamic Charity Organization (2010 - 2026): He served as Chairman of the International Islamic Charity Organization (II¬CO), where he led charitable and relief efforts around the world. Vice-President of the International Islamic Council for Da’wah and Relief (IIC¬DR) (2010 - present): His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Matouq Al-Matouq provid¬ed valuable support for Da’wah and relief work at a global level through his participation as Vice Chairman of the Council. Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Af¬fairs (2012 - 2016): His Excellency Dr. Abdullah was appointed Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs. He led hu¬manitarian efforts on the international level and supervised many humanitar¬ian projects and initiatives. Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hadith Academy (2014-present): H.E. Dr. Al-Matouq assumed the responsibility of chairing the Board of Trustees of the Hadith Academy, where he contributes to the preservation and dissemi¬nation of Islamic heritage. Member of the Board of Trustees of the Forum for the Promotion of Peace in Muslim Societies (2015 - to date): H.E. Dr. Abdullah Matouq Al-Matouq is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Forum for the Promotion of Peace in Muslim Societies, which works to promote understanding and peace among the communities of the Muslim world. Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General (2017-present): Appointed Spe¬cial Advisor to the UN Secretary-General as Under-Secretary-General and suc¬cessfully held this high and sensitive position, and was repeatedly renewed for continued service in this important role. Over the years, His Excellency Dr. Al- Matouq has continued to make dis¬tinguished contributions in various governmental and humanitarian fields and his influential and challenging career makes him a role model and inspiration to many people around the world. His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq’s participation in the 12th General Con¬ference of the Association of Islamic Universities in Mecca in May 2023 is a landmark moment that reflects his strong commitment to promoting the values of education and scientific research within the framework of Islamic values. His participation demonstrates a deep understanding of the importance of higher education and the vital role that universities play in developing societies and achiev¬ing economic and social progress.
