I was honored to accompany the knight of global philanthropy and humanitarian work and the advisor of humanity, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq, who wrote the meanings of humanity with his inspiring initiatives and decisions that raised the level of local, regional and international humanitarian work to its highest levels. Through my association with His Excellency for a decade, I saw the seriousness and flexibility in work and his unlimited supportive decisions for humanitarian work, without being based on certain slogans or partisanship. One of his most important strategic and humanitarian goals is to elevate humanitarian work in line with the principle of governance, automation, sustainable development and empowerment. His Excellency was one of the initiators of adopting and sponsoring donor conferences at the international level and humanitarian organizations, and we do not forget the great and distinguished role of His Excellency in providing consultations to His Highness the Prince of Humanity - may God have mercy on him - through which he deserved the title of Prince of Humanity. Out of his keenness to deliver charity to the needy, the afflicted and the vulnerable on earth, he initiated the Feed One Billion Hungry project at the United Nations Organization and the same was crowned with great and distinguished success through the pledges of humanitarian organizations to feed 3 billion and 362 million hungry people. I accompanied His Excellency on most of his humanitarian trips, conferences and local, regional and international tours. I found him patient, kind, generous and enduring fatigue and hardship in order to reach his humanitarian goal. He had a great and distinctive role in adopting large qualitative projects that are of utmost importance to people in need in poor and stricken countries. I do not forget his social role, which contributed to solving many complex family issues, through his wisdom, acumen, and acceptance of his opinion by all segments of the society, in addition to his prominent and distinguished role in facilitating people’s affairs through intercessions and his great and distinguished relationships with officials at the local, regional and international levels. In fact, no matter how much I write and talk about his exploits, morals and deeds, words cannot fulfill his right. It is an honor for me to accompany the knight of charitable and humanitarian work and the advisor of humanity, the beloved of the people of Kuwait, the Gulf and the Arab and Islamic world, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Matouq Al-Matouq.
